FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has catheter introducible through urethra into the prostate having dilatable liquid receiver unit mountable in the prostate. The liquid receiver unit has heating member for heating liquid in the receiver unit by means of convection and is connected to power supply source. The device also has the first temperature pickup for measuring temperature in continuous mode and the second one for measuring temperature outside the heat treatment zone located at some distance from the liquid receiver unit.
