FIELD: carbon materials. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to formation of coating made from polymer-tendency amorphous carbon onto polymer material substrate shaped as container such as bottle or flacon, which has to be finally manufactured employing electromagnetically excited plasma. Container blank of substrate-forming polymer material is placed into reaction chamber under significant underpression conditions, into which at least one initial gaseous carbon substance is fed at very low pressure. Said substance is selected from alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, aromatics, and combinations of certain of them. Simultaneously, microwave relatively low-power electromagnetic excitement is created in reaction chamber in order to form plasma at temperature conditions, which, on the one hand, maintain polymer at temperature below polymer vitrification temperature and, on the other, hand make overhydrogenated polymer-tendency carbon to be deposited.
