FIELD: heat-power engineering; firing-up pulverized-coal burners and maintenance of flame in boiler units by lighting pulverized-coal jet. SUBSTANCE: device includes plasmatron and aeromixture firing-up chamber; it is also provided with chamber for thermochemical preparation of fuel which is located at inlet of aeromixture firing-up chamber; plasmatron and fuel injector are arranged in said chamber in such way that spray cone of injector intersects with plasma flame of plasmatron. Proposed fuel injector is just pneumohydraulic injector used for spraying liquid fuel by means of water steam. Thermochemical fuel preparation chamber is provided with cooling jacket. When air is used as cooling medium, cavity of cooling jacket is communicated with thermochemical fuel preparation chamber. Cooling jacket is made in form of ejector nozzle. EFFECT: low cost of plasma system; enhanced reliability; automation of process with use of low-power plasmatron. 5 cl, 1 dwg
