FIELD: power engineering; attachment of fiber-optic cables on overhead power transmission lines, railway contact systems, and the like. SUBSTANCE: supporting clamp designed for securing fiber-optic cable on up to 10 kV power transmission lines, railway contact systems, lighting lines, contact systems for electrified vehicles, and communication lines with span length up to 110 m and route angle of turn up to 10 deg. has spiral protector, left- and right-hand strands in the form of set of power coils glued together and provided with abrasive layer on their inner surfaces. Strands are wound in crosswise manner on spiral protector which is, in its turn, wound on cable. Pitch and diameter of power coils of left- and right-hand strands are chosen from definite equation including installation and wiring conditions and specified strength of cable clamping. Cable is reliably clamped throughout entire length due to uniform distribution of stiffness. EFFECT: enhanced no-trouble life; improved safety of cable under various operating conditions. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
