FIELD: electric power industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electric power industry, and more specifically to connecting clamps for connecting wires in loops of overhead power lines. A spiral-type clamp for connecting two wires in a loop contains at least one set of conductive spirals 3 mounted on the connected wires 1, 2, and a set of power protector-retainer spirals 4 mounted over conductive spirals 3. Protector-retainer spirals 5 for outside the conductive layer, they are wound with a transition directly to the connected wires 1, 2, while the section of the power spirals of the protector-latch 4, wound over the conductive layer, and the sections of the power spirals of the protector-latch 4, wound directly onto the connected wires, are made with different diameters.
EFFECT: mass of the clamp is significantly reduced and the manufacturability of the design is improved.
