FIELD: mechanical engineering; machining of precise surfaces in parts, such as antifriction races. SUBSTANCE: tools with main abrasive blocks movable in radial direction under action of centrifugal forces, other blocks arranged in spaces between main blocks, and additional abrasive blocks are used for machining. Relative longitudinal reciprocating motion and rotating motion in one side are conveyed to blank and tool. Machining of first and second coaxial inner surfaces is provided. Main and other blocks are designed for successive machining of first surface, and additional blocks are designed for machining of second surface. Independent longitudinal oscillatory motions along generatrix and reciprocating motions are conveyed to other blocks and additional blocks, respectively. Tool is furnished with spring-loaded pistons by means of which blocks are pulled from machined surfaces. EFFECT: improved accuracy and increased capacity at machining of several surfaces at one setting of tool and blank. 16 cl, 1 ex, 14 dwg
