FIELD: machine engineering, namely, tools for finishing precise cylindrical openings of parts. SUBSTANCE: head includes body in the form of sleeve with openings, rod and honing bars in the form of rings with thickness H of abrasive layer jointly mounted in openings of body in such a way that axes of rings are inclined by acute angle α relative to lengthwise axis of honing head with possibility of forced rotation for reducing angle α at cutting-in. Abrasive honing rings are turned one relative to another in their rotation plane by equal angles. Maximum initial angle α of honing rings is determined by formula: αmax= arccosmax=[R/(R=H)], where R - radius of honed opening. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of honing, reduced energy consumption for removing metal unit due to use of honing abrasive bars with working surface inclined relative to lengthwise axis of head, improved chipping and supply of cutting fluid. 2 cl, 4 dwg
