FIELD: nuclear reactor control. SUBSTANCE: method involves application of control signal proportional to desired variation in neutron flux density to input of period signal generator. Dependence of neutron flux density deviation corresponds to desired rate of reactivity change of nuclear reactor. In the process desired change in reactivity is also continuously measured at the moment when period signal at alarm signal generator output becomes equal to desired value of alarm signal with respect to period ; reactivity measured at this moment is used for determining speed of alarm signal generation by nuclear reactor period. Alarm signal generation speed is determined by reactor period at different rates of change of reactivity. EFFECT: enhanced confidence of measurement results. 2 cl, 2 dwg
