FIELD: petrochemical processes. SUBSTANCE: raw material (optionally in presence of hydrogen) is brought into contact at 280 to 460 C (better at 320-440 C) and pressure 0.1 to 4.0 MPa (better 0.5-2 MPa) with catalyst containing zeolite ZSM-5 or ZSM-11 having general empiric formula (0.02-0.09)Na2O·Al2O3. (0.01-1.13)Fe2O3. (27-212)SiO2·kH2O modified by elements or V, VI, and VII-group elements or element compounds in amounts 0.05 to 5.0 wt. % or zeolite having general empiric formula (0.02-0.3)Na2O·Al2O3.(0.01-0.6)Fe2O3. (0.01- 1.0)ΣЭnОm.(28-180)SiO2·kH2O, where ΣЭnОm is one or two II, VI, and VIII-group element oxides and k is corresponding moisture capacity factor, or zeolite having general empiric formula (0.02-0.3)Na2O·Al2O3. (0.01-0.6)444.(0.01-1.0)Fe2O3.(0,01-1,0)ΣЭnОm(28- 180)SiO2·kH2O, where ΣЭnОm is one or two II, III, V, and VI-group element oxides and k is corresponding moisture capacity factor, modified by I, II, IV, V, VI, VII and VIII-group elements or element compounds in amounts 0.05 to 5.0 wt.%, after which contact products are separated into gaseous and liquid fractions. Raw material can be constituted by C2-C12-hydrocarbons and their fractions and/or oxygen-containing organic compounds (alcohols, ethers, etc. ) and their mixtures. EFFECT: lowered process temperature and increased yield of desired products. 2 cl, 2 tbl, 19 ex
