FIELD: radio ecological monitoring, measurement of content of radio nuclides in various components of environment when measurement results are processed by hardware complex enabling large data array of radio ecological information to be operated. SUBSTANCE: method includes selection of environmental samples and technological samples, processing of samples for measurement by liquid scintillation counter, measurement and recording of sample spectrum and measurement parameters, creation of model spectrum of sample, minimization of deviation of model spectrum from sample spectrum and determination of content of alpha-particle emitting radio nuclides in sample. Summary activity and energy interval of alpha-particle emitting radio nuclides in sample are determined in advance in process of sample preparation, then sample is injected with isotope solution in the capacity of internal standard with definite energy and specified activity of alpha- particle emission. Parameters of asymmetrical Gaussian distribution describing peak of internal standard are found on basis of measurement results of sample spectrum with minimization of deviation of model spectrum from sample spectrum in region of internal standard. Model spectrum is formed with use of formulas of dependence of parameters of asymmetrical Gaussian distribution on energy and quenching and of reference data on alpha-particle emitting radio nuclides. EFFECT: raised sensitivity of spectroscopic analysis, enhanced authenticity of identification and accuracy of determination of content of alpha-particle emitting radio nuclides in samples with the aid of liquid scintillation counter. 3 cl, 4 dwg, 4 tbl
