FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves starting treatment with 1 mm per day distraction rate. Integral radio brightness temperature in the center of regenerate of the segment under elongation and in symmetrical intact extremity zone during a 4 days long cycle. Integral temperature gradient mean value is calculated. The value being less than -0.3 C, distraction rate is to be reduced by 0.5- 0.25 mm per day. Temperature gradient being greater than -.0.3 C, distraction rate is to be increased by 0.25 mm per day increasing the rate to 1.25-1.5 mm per day during the whole period of extremity elongation treatment. EFFECT: optimized regenerate formation process.
