FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining heat distribution pattern in the autonomous innervation zones of the tibial and fibular nerves of surgically operated extremity and temperature gradient when comparing to symmetrically disposed portions of the intact extremity. Thermovision examination is carried out daily starting at the distraction beginning. Temperature gradient being greater than the initial one not more than by 0.5 C, distraction rate is considered to be adequate to plastic resource of the nerve fascicle. Luminous intensity increase being observed in the area of autonomous innervation zone of one or two nerve trunks on the extremity under elongation with gradient being greater than the initial one more than by 0.5 C, distraction rate is to be reduced. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of control.
