FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves pouring liquid metal into well; forming liquid metal flow; spraying metal flow with liquid energy carrier supplied through sprayer; cooling produced pellets. Sprayer is moved relative to well discharge opening along flow axis in vertical and/or horizontal planes. Method allows dependence of quality of discharged pellets on variable metal cooling properties in the process of pouring to be reduced.
