FIELD: measurement technology and methodology, ocean exploration. SUBSTANCE: reconnaissance measurement with the aid of hydrological sonde is conducted in exploration area, depth of laying of layer of season thermocline is found, autonomous buoy station with meters measuring currents positioned above, beneath and layer of detected season thermocline is established, multiple measurements by means of hydrological sonde are carried out in the range from upper mixed layer to lower boundary of layer of season thermocline with information recording with sinking and lifting of instrument.
