FIELD: oceanology.
SUBSTANCE: method includes performing measurements in given area by profile graph probe, on basis of results of which maximum of float frequency is determined, depth of density leap layer, profiles of meridian and latitude components of current speed, spectral tensor characteristics of vertical structure of currents, horizontal length of wave of density leap layer, angular frequency of wave agitations and direction of main axis of spectral tensor invariant of current speed. In direction of main axis of spectral tensor invariant of current speed, traverse of support watercraft is performed with probing along its drive by hydrological probe to point of passing distance equal to 8:10 lengths of waves of density leap layer. Probing is performed also during movement of watercraft in reverse direction. Processing of materials is performed during experiment.
EFFECT: higher trustworthiness.
