FIELD: construction engineering; lime slaking devices. SUBSTANCE: proposed lime slaking device includes hydration chamber with loading and unloading openings, exhaust pipe with inlet opening, lower part and expansion chamber, sprayer with nozzle for escape of water mounted in expansion chamber, expansion chamber wall cooling unit for condensation of liquid particles and drain member. Sprayer nozzle is directed radially relative to axis of exhaust pipe for washing side walls of expansion chamber with water; lower part of exhaust pipe is made as water drain for drainage of water from expansion chamber. Drain member is mounted on lower part of exhaust pipe for converting water flow draining from its walls to vertical water curtain before opening of exhaust pipe.
