FIELD: nuclear power engineering; beryllium neutron reflectors for research reactors. SUBSTANCE: reflector is built up of three or more parts arranged in section at angle of 0 to 180 deg. to vertical axis of unit. Supporting structure joins top and bottom flanges and includes components disposed inside and outside of unit. Supporting members may be made in the form of plates, rods, or tubes made of structural materials such as zirconium or stainless steel. Disposed between top and/or bottom ends of unit and respective flange are flexible members in the form of plate or any other form and springs made of material whose ultimate strength is below that of beryllium by at least 50% at equal test temperatures ranging up to 200 C. EFFECT: enhanced service life of beryllium neutron reflector. 8 cl, 3 dwg
