FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: baler has pair of vertical guides connected with their ends to horizontal upper and lower cross-members. Compression chamber is equipped with hydraulic drive and is mounted on guides for displacement in up and down directions. Upper pressing punch equipped with hydraulic drive is mounted on upper cross-member. Die is positioned on lower cross-member. Pressing punch and die are provided with slots for laying metal strips in the process of binding pressed bale. Compression chamber is composed of movable mutually connectable rings of different size. Rigidity ribs are formed on outer surface in upper part of innermost ring of minimal diameter. Ribs are connected through pair of bushings by slider bearings to guides. Flange is formed on lower cut of said ring so that flange outer edge is directed downward. Flanges are formed on upper and lower cuts of ring having medium-size diameter. Flange on upper cut of ring is directed with its inner edge inward of ring and lower flange is directed with its outer edge outside the ring. Rigidity rib made in the form of washer is mounted at lower level than upper flange on outer cut of medium-size ring. Flange on upper cut of outer ring having maximum diameter is directed with its narrow end inward of ring. Rigidity ribs are positioned below said flange and connected through pair of bushings by slider bearings to guides. Each of innermost ring of minimal diameter and outer ring of maximal diameter are equipped with individual hydraulic drives made in the form of hydraulic cylinders. Stems of hydraulic cylinders are connected through brackets to respective bushings of rings. Hydraulic cylinder bases are mounted on upper cross-member.
