FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves using stochastic resonance phenomena in non-linear systems when analyzing electroencephalogram records. Main frequency components are selected from the electroencephalographic signal by filtering. Delta-correlated Gauss noise signal of given intensity is added to the selected signal. The resultant signal violating the predefined superior and inferior threshold levels, standard shape impulse is formed and intervals between the impulses are followed for both thresholds. Impulse-to-impulse interval density plots are built in logarithmic scale. The plots are used for detecting peak wave complex. EFFECT: high accuracy in recognizing peak wave complex when analyzing spontaneous electroencephalograms. 3 dwg
