FIELD: manufacture of blanks of refractory superalloys by directional crystallization with use of investment patterns. SUBSTANCE: casting mold for making blanks has lining and outer strengthening ceramic layers. Strengthening layer has thickness different in cross and lengthwise directions and it has constructional members such as ribs and/or local convex portions of surface and/or slit grooves. Dimensions, spatial arrangement and number of constructional members on unit of area is determined according to condition for maintaining integrity of mold at minimally allowable thickness of its wall. Ceramic members are shaped at pressing out ceramic mass by action of dies drawn together. EFFECT: improved resistance of casting mold against rupture by action of thermic stresses, minimum material and energy consumption for manufacturing process. 11 cl, 3 dwg, 1 tbl
