FIELD: reprocessing of wornout tyres. SUBSTANCE: tyre is cooled in container with cooling agent to make rubber fragile and then cooled tyre is exposed to impulse electric discharges at its surface by means of conductors placed close to tyre surface which explode when current pulses are passed through them. Additional effect can be obtained if conductors placed close to surface of tyre are curved preliminarily to side of tyre nearest surface before electric explosion. EFFECT: increased efficiency and stability of shock action caused by electric discharge owing to provision of its adjustable direction. 1 dwg
