FIELD: inorganic compounds technology. SUBSTANCE: selenium is fluorinated by 1: (4-5) fluorine/inert gas mixture at temperature between +5 C and -10 C and atmospheric pressure. Gas mixture is fed at velocity 20-30 l/h. Inert gas can be nitrogen, argon, or their mixture. Resulting selenium tetrafluoride is recovered via evaporation at 90-100 C and pressure up to 1.5 atm. EFFECT: simplified technology. 3 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
