FIELD: blasting operations destroying ice cover. SUBSTANCE: process of destruction of ice cover includes preparation of gas space, installation of main explosive charge at certain depth under ice and its initiation. Gas space is prepared by means of gas generator producing heated gas before blast of main explosive charge. Gas generator is positioned under ice directly near lower ice edge at some distance along horizontal line from main explosive charge. EFFECT: increased efficiency of destruction of ice cover, diminished labor input. 1 dwg
