FIELD: ice technology; applicable in making of ice platforms with high load-carrying capacities. SUBSTANCE: method consists in formation of stiffening ribs in ice cover by making in ice cover grooves in longitudinal and transverse directions with depth less than ice thickness, and subsequent drilling of through holes in formed cells of ice cover. Pumped through drilled holes to under lower edge of ice cover is gas. Holes are closed, and ice cover is exposed to effect of subzero temperatures with t<00C for time required to equalize temperatures on upper and lower edges of ice cover. Novelty consists in that after injection of gas to under ice lower edge, placed into formed gas cavities under ice cover are reinforcing members in the form of lighter than water linear fibers stronger than ice and possessing good adhesion to ice. Then holes in ice cover are opened. EFFECT: increased load-carrying capacity. 1 dwg
