FIELD: iodine melting devices. SUBSTANCE: device has housing with first pipe union for charging starting iodine- containing product, spiral made from conducting material and insulated on its outside; this spiral embraces housing and is connected to voltage source; device has second pipe union for discharge of iodine vapor and water steam which is fitted in side wall of housing and hydraulic seal mounted inside housing and made in form of two tubes of different diameters placed one into other. Tube of larger diameter is hermetically closed on side of upper butt and its lower butt is mounted on surface of lower cover of housing provided with mounting hole whose diameter is equal to outer diameter of lesser tube hermetically fitted inside mounting hole. Tube of larger diameter has flow-through holes in its walls near lower butt. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 5 cl, 1 dwg
