FIELD: polymers. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of producing polymeric cover exhibiting high protective physical-chemical indices, low toxicity and useful for implantation into living organism tissues. Method involves preliminary preparing the polymeric composition by mixing methacrylic acid methyl ester with peroxide compound as polymerization initiating agent and water in mixer. Ammonium persulfate can be added to composition additionally. Polymeric composition is applied on backing, dried and hardened at 70-90 C for 40-48 h. Then hardened layer is treated with stabilizing reagent taken among group of dibasic carboxylic acids and layer is dried at 70-90 C for 40-48 h. The combination of components taken in the definite ratio ensures to decrease toxicity of cover, improve its physical-chemical indices and provide possibility of implantation into biological objects.
