SUBSTANCE: said utility invention relates to battery charging. A battery pack contains a secondary battery and a circuit, which controls secondary battery charging and discharging. The battery pack contains a computer and a charging control section. The computer establishes communication with the other computer located in the charging device and authenticates the charging device. The charging control section controlled by the computer applies the charging current to the secondary battery when the charging device has been authenticated successfully and cuts off the charging current supply if the charging device is not authenticated.
EFFECT: prevention of battery pack charging by unauthorised charging device.
