METHOD FOR PREDICTING DYSCIRCULATORY ENCEPHALOPATHY DECOMPENSATION CHANCE AFTER CEREBRAL STROKE Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A61B8/08

Abstract RU 2292845 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves calculating liquor-containing space volume indices when finding brain cysts, as silent infarction, in addition to post-stroke lesion. The values are used for predicting dyscirculatory encephalopathy decompensation outcome, when the cysts are localized in convexital and mediobasal regions of brain hemispheres with subaracnoid space volume index being equal to or greater than 0.09, frontal subaracnoid space volume index being equal to or greater than 0.49, and subaracnoid-parieto-occipital space volume index being equal to or greater than 0.18, when the cysts are localized in stem and/or mediobasal regions of brain hemispheres with frontal ventricular space volume index being equal to or greater than 0.31, and ventriculo-parieto-occipital space volume index being equal to or greater than 0.21, when the convexital cysts are localized in frontal regions of brain hemispheres with fronto-parieto-occipital space volume index being equal to or lower than 0.27, and ventriculo-parieto-occipital space volume index being equal to or greater than 0.13.

EFFECT: high accuracy of early stage prognosis.
