TANK FOR THICKENING LIQUIDS Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport; tank cars for thickening liquids. SUBSTANCE: tank is made in form of cylindrical container horizontally mounted on overspring beams of running gear bogies. It has transported liquid heating system consisting of two hydraulically coupled heating elements. One of said elements is designed for heating drain valve, and the other, installed with inclination from end faces of container to drain valve, contributes to draining of liquid. Tank has two heat accumulators installed in tank horizontally from one end face to the other, being designed to prevent internal convection and to reduce rate of liquid cooling.
