FIELD: radio navigation. SUBSTANCE: technical result of invention consist in increased precision of fixing positions of mobile objects and in expanded capabilities of method on basis of rational positioning of base stations on serviced territory. Method consists in positioning in conventional cells presenting equal regular hexagons densely covering serviced territory of base stations with coverage equal to length of side of each regular hexagon and in assignment of each base station with unique identification number. Call radio signals are emitted on assigned working frequency from positioned mobile object which is one of mobile objects located within limits of serviced territory. Base stations are placed in vertexes of regular hexagons. EFFECT: increased precision of fixing position of mobile object and expanded capabilities of method. 7 dwg
