FIELD: radio navigation, location of mobile objects. SUBSTANCE: in correspondence with proposed method base stations with identification number assigned for each base station are placed in conventional cells which present equal regular hexagons densely covering serviced territory. Radii of coverage of these base stations are set equal to length of side of each regular hexagon. Call radio signals are emitted on assigned working frequency from positioned mobile object which is one of mobile objects located within limits of serviced territory. Base stations are positioned in vertexes of regular hexagons. EFFECT: increased precision of fixing positions of mobile objects, widened capabilities of method based on rational location of base stations of serviced territory. 7 dwg
