FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: plant for continuous casting of slabs of melt metal such as melt steels for making ready slabs includes mold into which melt steel is poured through discharge opening of nozzle for forming bath of melt metal. At least part of melt metal crystallizes in mold. Plant includes at least one apparatus for magnetic agitation in order to control flow of melt steel and to act upon steel poured to mold in such a way that to provide symmetrical flows of melt steel in mold at least relative to one symmetry plane (cross relative to mold long sides) of mold. Magnetic poles for agitating are made in such a way that they practically may not influence upon agitated components of symmetrical flows of melt metal.
