SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method speed limiter is secured on temporary suspension element mounted in upper part of lift shaft, then position of speed limiter is adjusted in, at least, vertical direction to find final place of installation. With lift mounted speed limiter is disconnected from temporary suspension element and is secured in place of final installation. Device has element used for temporary suspension of limiter which is made for attachment to lift shaft ceiling or to upper part of lift shaft wall, and rest, supported by temporary suspension element when mounting the lift.
