FIELD: rubber industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of 1,4-trans-isomers of polyisoprene, which can be used in rubber industry and in manufacturing medical-destination materials. Polymerization of isoprene is conducted in aliphatic solvent or monomer at 45-50 C in presence of catalytic system, more particularly titanium tetrachloride precipitated on fine magnesium dichloride, and cocatalyst, namely trialkylaluminum. When polymerization proceeds in aliphatic solvent, catalyst is deposited on silica gel, concentration of isoprene in polymerization medium is 2.5-4.8 M, and cocatalyst-to-catalyst molar ratio (22-30):1.
