FIELD: automotive industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vehicle engine control system. Said device has throttle valve placed in housing 2 and installed on shaft of throttle valve coupled with position pickup 4 and throttle valve drive lever 5 on which idle pushbutton switch 6 is installed. Said switch is furnished with pushbutton 7 thrusting against end of adjusting screw 8. Device operates as follows: idling mode is set when end of adjusting screw 8 presses pushbutton 7 of idle switch 6. Generated pulse is compared by control system with current signal from position pickup 4, said signal being considered as initial reference point when determining degree of throttle valve opening. So, initial reference point is continuously corrected which makes it possible to determine position of throttle valve with high degree of accuracy. EFFECT: provision of stable operation of automobile engine at all duties. 1 dwg
