FIELD: food industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves preparation of food products and food compositions capable to reduce cholesterin level in blood serum and to reduce increased blood pressure. Food compositions and methods of their preparation include increased content of stanols/sterols of vegetable origin or their derivatives, and also increased content of a mineral food element. When preparing food compositions, used as a mineral food element is an element selected from group of magnesium, calcium and potassium. Proposed food products also contain increased level of sterol/stanol of vegetable origin, and at least an element from a group: magnesium, calcium and potassium. The following products may be used: bread, cookie or biscuit, sausage or minced meat product; mixture of vegetable oil and butter; mayonnaise, yogurt and salad.
