FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: ripper-separator has frame, front and rear rotors successively mounted on frame and equipped with spiral-screw type working tools. Rotors are interconnected through synchronizing chain transmission. Rear rotor has smaller diameter and greater angle of attack relative to advancement direction of ripper-separator as compared to front rotor. Spiral surface of rear rotor is provided with corrugations having greater friction coefficient than spiral surface of front rotor. Ripper-separator of such construction is preferably used in arid regions. EFFECT: improved quality of soil crumbling and weed separation and enhanced reliability in operation. 2 dwg
