FIELD: foundry, namely manufacture of cast rolls for continuous casting of steel strip. SUBSTANCE: cast roll designed for casting continuous steel strip with thickness 1 - 2 mm includes arbor, casing of heat conductive material fit onto arbor. Circular cooling grooves are arranged between arbor and casing; said grooves are communicated with radial lines for supplying cooling agent and draining it. Guiding member is used for guiding cooling agent from radial supplying line to cooling groove and for guiding cooling agent from cooling groove to radial draining line. Said guiding member is inserted into cooling groove and it is joined with arbor of roll. Such cast roll allows thermal displacement of roll casing relative to arbor. EFFECT: minimum consumption of cooling agent, uniform heat removal from casing of roll at identical flow-around conditions. 15 cl, 8 dwg
