FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has cylindrical casing 1 with main channel 5 made inside it and adapted for discharge of molten metal delivered from intermediate pouring device, to which cylindrical casing 1 is connected by means of joint 2. The latter is formed as truncated cone made integral with cylindrical casing 1 and positioned at its upper edge. Free end 3 of cylindrical casing 1 is formed as truncated pyramid and is equipped with discharge channels 7,8,9,10,11 which may be connected to main channel 5. Apparatus provides for homogeneous distribution of molten metal in casting mold. Ingot produced by means of apparatus of such construction allows cracks and roughness of surface to be eliminated and thickness of ingot to be uniform.
