FIELD: common mechanical engineering; devices for securing ends of stranded ropes; securing stranded ropes with hooks, chokers or other production equipment in forest industry. SUBSTANCE: device has bush with through longitudinal cavity where insert is fitted at spaced relation to inner surface of bush; transversal sizes of bush and insert decrease towards their similar ends. Insert has main through hole for passing end of stranded rope and additional holes for passing strands of rope after unraveling. Longitudinal axes of additional holes are shifted transversely relative to longitudinal axis of main hole of insert, thus enhancing operational reliability of rope due to reduced wear of strands at dynamic loads.
