FIELD: preheating water at atomic power stations. SUBSTANCE: heat exchanger includes vertical cylindrical housing equipped with branch pipe for supplying heating medium to heating compartment located on side surface of said compartment and connected with perforated tube fitted inside it; heat exchanger is also provided with branch pipe supplying liquid to be heated located along axis of housing and made in form of tube section with perforated free end which is introduced inside heating compartment of housing, branch pipe for evacuation of venting vapor whose diameter exceeds in tube portion diameter of tube section of branch pipe supplying liquid to be heated and located coaxially relative to it. First-stage mixing heat exchanger is mounted on part of said tube section projecting beyond housing or on any other part connected with said tube section; this heat exchanger is made in form of cooling jacket embracing said part of tube section or pipe line; tube section inside jacket is perforated.
