FIELD: pulse measurement technology, nuclear radiation measurement. SUBSTANCE: process of selection of pyroelectrics is based on selection of element composition of each pyroelectric with different characteristic parameters. Pyroelectric differing in element composition, having its Curie temperature Tc, maximum permissible dose Dc of absorbed energy of ionizing radiation, pyroelectric coefficient P and specific heat χ is chosen foe each pyroelectric capacitor. Detector includes sensitive element comprising n pyroelectric capacitors presenting conductive electrodes separated by polarized pyroelectrics and connected to current leads. Pyroelectric capacitors produced from various pyroelectric materials different in element composition and showing different characteristic parameters are arranged in order of ascending Curie temperature Tc and maximum permissible dose Dc of absorbed energy of ionizing radiation and are separated by insulating spacer. Radiation sensor incorporates detector which sensitive element is made of pyroelectric capacitors which current leads of unipolar conductive electrodes are connected directly and via commutation key to output terminals of detector, controlled key placed in series with user of electric energy between output terminals of detector and connected with controlling input to programming unit. EFFECT: diminished overall dimensions of detector per power unit of output electric signal, increased radiation stability, capacity to control flow of current through energy user. 9 cl, 7 dwg, 1 tbl
