FIELD: mechanical engineering and repair of machines, particularly, reconditioning of worn internal and external cylindrical surfaces. SUBSTANCE: method includes production of continuous-successive temperature gradient along bushing axis by heating of peripheral, local zone of bushing wall and its cooling with water jets in the course of bushing motion relative to source of heating and cooling; preparation of external cylindrical surface for spraying; machining of internal and external cylindrical surfaces to nominal size. In this case, machining of external cylindrical surface of bushing is made 0.1-0.3 mm less than nominal size with subsequent application to it of anaerobic polymer of said thickness. EFFECT: higher operating characteristics of bushing due to increasing its service life by 30% with saving of nonferrous metals (bronze). 1 tbl
