FIELD: electrochemical application of oxide wear resistant coatings on ferrous and non-ferrous metals for restoring and strengthening worn parts at repairing machines, possibly in machine engineering, oil and gas production, petrochemical and chemical industry branches. SUBSTANCE: method for anodizing metals and alloys comprises steps of using solution of sodium aluminate for anodizing at voltage 100-1000 V; supplying solution of sodium aluminate in the form of jet through slit nozzle spaced by distance 5-10 mm from necessary surface with possibility of motion of flat jet of solution around cylindrical surface at rate 0.5 -1.0 m/min. Local procession of surface at above mentioned modes allows to enhance coating uniformness by three times. EFFECT: lowered energy consumption, simplified technological procedure due reduced electric current density and shortened time period of process, enhanced uniformness of applied coating. 2 dwg, 1 tbl, 2 ex
