FIELD: metering of consumption. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of metering liquid masses, particularly, fuel consumed by internal combustion engine, by passing the fuel in continuous flow through meters. Volumetric flow and temperature of fuel are measured at inlet and outlet of internal combustion engine. Parameters of fuel filled in tank, as to density and volume, and value of density at 20 C are entered into calculator through readout device connected for a time. Density of fuel, depending on measured temperature, and mass flow rate of fuel as difference of mass flows at inlet and outlet of internal combustion engine are calculated. New values of amount of fuel in tank and new value of density, with due account of fuel remaining in tank, are calculated and fuel consumed in operation is determined by summing current values of mass flow rate and fuel remaining in tank by subtracting value of consumed fuel from new value of fuel amount in tank. Current values of mass flow rates, consumed fuel and fuel remaining in tank are brought to display. Data on mass flow rate of fuel are supplied to engine diagnostic and vehicle automatic control systems. EFFECT: improved accuracy of metering of summary mass floe rate of fuel and protection of obtained data. 1 dwg
