FIELD: mobile communication systems. SUBSTANCE: proposed method and device are meant to control channel access involving preemption of particular access time interval by base station for mobile station when the latter is to convey data whose length is greater than one frame. Base station receives channel access information from mobile station over backward access channel and checks length of transmitted data incorporated in channel access data received so as to find out if data are still transmitted in at least one next frame and preempts particular access time interval in backward access channel provided data are still transmitted in at least one next frame. EFFECT: provision for mobile station to transmit data exceeding in length one frame. 5 cl, 12 dwg
