FIELD: agriculture, biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: method includes analysis of regenerant plants in the course of which anthers of donor plants with marker genes in heterozygous state are used. By the presence of marker signs and splitting of R1 families grown under field conditions it is possible to conclude on the origin of regenerants out of pollen grains. If there is no splitting in R1 families according to marker signs the origination comes out of somatic anther cells. If families' splitting occurs, at different combinations of marker signs in regenerant plants of nonsplit families, at the presence of two and more marker signs in donor plants' anthers it is possible to conclude on regenerants' origin out of different types of pollen grains. The innovation enables to isolate genetically homogeneous millet lines. EFFECT: higher efficiency of genotypical evaluation. 1 ex, 1 tbl
