METHOD FOR OBTAINING PROTECTIVE EXTRACELLULAR BRUCELLA ANTIGEN CAPABLE TO PROVOKE CHRONIC FORMS OF BRUCELLOSIS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2199340 C1

FIELD: medicine, veterinary science. SUBSTANCE: protective antigen is characterized by sugars' content up to 60%, proteins up to 20%, nucleotides up to 5%, it has molecular weight below 30 kDa and maximum absorption within 250-265 nm wave lengths. Antigen is obtained during cultivation of Brucella in nutritive medium at 5.5- 7.0 pH. The former is isolated out of liquid fraction of culture liquid presubjected to either acidic or alkaline hydrolysis and purified due to ultrafiltration or liquid chromatography. The method provides to obtain antigen capable to provoke latent forms of brucellosis. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 12 ex, 2 tbl
