FIELD: equipment for explosive smelting. SUBSTANCE: given melting pot is designed for smelting of explosives ( trinitrotoluene ) while loading shells of ammunition with explosives by filling method. Melting pot has body with heated working surface, intake device and cone-shaped collector of melt with pipe union in its bottom. Working surface of melting pot is formed by external and internal surfaces of hollow truncated cones placed uniaxially with their vertexes facing intake device and installed as package with clearance between them and creation of intercone space given that relation of working surface to working volume of intercone space is 66:100 l/m. Intercone spaces communicate successively with drain holes made in zones of largest diameters of corresponding cones and insulated from smelting zone by perforated partitions.
