FIELD: microwave measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: proposed method depends on measuring position of standing-wave voltage minimum in long line. Measurement involve use of electric length of line as function of ε. Variations in electric length are measured with measuring channel filled with liquid under test and upon emptying the channel. Number of half- waves N characterizing changes in electric length and frequency f1, corresponding to standing-wave voltage minimum closest to frequency in direction of its reduction corresponding to standing wave minimum in empty measuring channel are measured in the process. EFFECT: enhanced resolution in measuring liquid and loose insulating materials. 3 dwg
